CCSC welcomes returning and new members and has a range of annual or casual memberships, including;

Member

Adult $300
Family* $390

*Family membership groupings are at the discretion of the Committee. Family membership may comprise of Full (Sailing) and Associate (Social) member types. A Full member within an Family group is expected to contribute to the regular club operations: ie: working bees and running of events.

Associate Member

Junior $75
Rookie # $150
Social (non-sailing) $50
  • Associate members have limited rights, and are not eligible to vote at General Meetings.​
  • # Proposed Members who satisfy the Committee on application to be a Member that they have limited experience in the sport of sailing are entitled to a fee discount (as determined at an AGM each year) for a maximum period of two years.

 

Continuing members

Your membership renews 1 September each year. You will receive an invoice for membership renewal based on the membership type of the previous season. It will provide options regarding how to pay. Any changes to your membership type or add ons (storage etc.) can be done online or with assistance of the Membership Officer.

New Members

Any person who supports the purposes of the Cairn Curran Sailing Club is eligible for membership. Select the 'New member: I have never registered for Sailing before' option to apply for membership. 

When applying to become a member of the Cairn Curran Sailing Club, you are submitting a written application to the committee stating that you:—

  1. wish to become a member of the Cairn Curran Sailing Club; and
  2. support the purposes of the association; and
  3. agree to comply with these rules.

New membership applications are subject to the *Rules of Association and By-Laws of the club and require approval by the General Committee. An applicant is not considered a member until the Committee has approved their application. The Committee will notify the applicant in writing of its decision as soon as practicable after the decision is made.

Casual Membership/Sail Pass

Visitors may become temporary club members:

  • Racing visitor: using your own boat and/or member of another club
  • Visitor: using a club boat
  • Junior: using a club boat
  • Discover Sailing participant

SailPass is an initiative of Australian Sailing. CCSC permits a limited number of SailPasses per member, per season

If you have been a member of our club (or any club) across Australia in the past few years, your details (Australian Sailing Number) should be in the system. If you don't know your Australian Sailing Number, you can look it up here: AS Number Finder
