Once again massive thanks to all members who chipped in to make last weekend's Classic Dinghy Class Invitation Weekend & Discover Sailing Day go so well. Both events could have been better attended and that's something we as a club need to work on improving. Thanks especially to the catering team led by Lorraine and Helen, with Max ably assisting once again, Kellie Hocking, Lorraine Ballard, Pieta McLean and others, PRO Russell Denholm and duty crews Allan Mathews, Steve Phillis, Joey & Steve Parson, Andrew Pollard. Darren Hocking on shore duty, Peter Weiss on registration and results. Craig Ginnivan, Peter & Charlie Wilcock, Josh hall, Darren Martin and Joey Norris (pictured in Pacer) taking visitors for a sail on Sunday. Craig Conn for bar shift(s) Joey & Steve for breakfast shift, Craig Ginnivan for returning the coolroom, and Chris Telford for taking out the trash. Ralph Ballard and Mark Teasdale for creating the opportunity for the Classic event through John Fairfax and the Victorian Classic Dinghy Network. Ronstan Australia for supporting the club by way of prizes.
Any & all other members that showed up and pitched in in various ways to make another terrific event. We can all have a bit of a rest for a while now and enjoy the club sailing – let's hope the wind continues... Our next events are next year, planning has commenced for the Winter Regatta Queens Birthday weekend in June. We also have the Flying Fifteen state titles scheduled for February 2019.
Sail Training recommences next Saturday, I look forward to seeing you all out at the club! Well done CCSC crew.
For any visitors that are friends on Facebook, thank you to you also for coming to the event and supporting our club, we look forward to seeing you again. Congratulations to division winners Brian Carrol in Sailfish and Grant Durran in OK Dinghy.
