CCSC offers Discover Sailing opportunities throughout the season!

You don't need to own a boat or know how to sail, our experienced sailors take you aboard, you can help trim the sails, take the helm or simply go along for the ride.

Come and try sailing at our club. It's free (no charge) and no obligation.
Please note: You will need to have or create an Australian Sailing account to register for this activity.

What to bring :– you will get wet

• Bathers – shorts & rashie ideal (avoid cotton)
• Footwear – wetsuit boots (beach shoes, old sneakers)
• Hat – brim/bucket type
• Water Bottle
• Towel
• Change of clothes

And on colder or windy days

• Wind/waterproof jacket
• Wetsuit

Give sailing a try, get a feel for our club, before doing a course or becoming a club member. 

NB: PFD (Personal Floattion Device) and helmets are supplied by the club.

Discover Sailing Day – Come and Try Sailing!

Ever wondered what it’s like to go sailing? Join us for a Discover Sailing Day and experience the thrill of being on the water while exploring your local sailing club.

• No experience needed – just bring your sense of adventure
• Perfect for families, friends, and anyone curious about sailing
• Friendly club members will be there to welcome you and answer questions

Prerequisite: For safety reasons, participants must be confident in and around the water.

By the end of the day, you’ll have:

• Experienced sailing firsthand
• Discovered the fun and community spirit of your local club
• Learned about exciting courses, activities, and ways to keep sailing
