Season Opening
The Official Opening on 7 October was a great start to the season.
The conditions were good and the competition for the Commodore’s Trophy was fierce.
Congratulations to new member Russell Denholm on winning the race.
Working Bee
There will be another Working Bee on Sunday 12 November, 9 am to 12 pm to prepare for the Regatta. Again, this will be a general clean up. Mowers and line trimmers will be needed for the grounds whilst cleaning the club rooms and amenities will need some elbow grease.
The more people who can help the easier it will be for all.
Duty Roster
Please check the Sailing and Duty Calendar which available on the club website and via this link as there has been some alterations. Check your rostered date(s) and if you are unavailable, make an arrangement with another member to swap dates. If you can’t find someone to swap with, please make sure the rostered PRO is aware that you won’t be there.
PRO Duty Training
Reminder that Principal Race Officer (previously Officer of the Day–OOD) training is scheduled for 3 pm Sunday 29 October. All members rostered for duty are requested to attend, even if you have been doing this for years. There are some changes to the procedures which you need to be aware of.
Discover Sailing Day
This year’s Discover Sailing Day is Sunday 22 October.
Please put the date aside and indicate your availability to help the club with this event.
We need people to help on shore doing registrations, canteen, BBQ etc. and in boats taking visitors for a sail, or crewing safety boats.
Please complete this form regarding your availability.
Child Safety Standards
The Child Safety Policy and a Child Safe Code of Conduct are available on our website.
Please take the time to read these documents and be aware of our responsibilities.
Working with Children Checks
Thank you to members that have obtained their Working With Children Check.
A reminder for others that we would like these completed before the start of the season. Some members may already hold a Working With Children Check for another organisation.
If so, you can simply add CCSC as an additional organisation.

We look forward to seeing you out at the clubhouse soon!
