Congratulations to all competitors who participated in todays challenge. it was a fantastic fleet of 26 boats on the water!
Great sailing in shifty northerly winds tested all sailors with some exciting downwind legs and a few capsizes.
Thanks to Tim, Glenn and Scott for doing duty - you did a great job.
The results are shown below. We are proud to say that Cairn Curran retains hold of the challenge trophy after a very close event!

The Challenge formula calculates the "Team Performance Index" with a system that considers number of entries with the team with the lowest number of entries has all boats count, while the fastest for that number of boast counts for the other team.
It also considers times as per below.
1 Process Race Results using YV yardsticks to calculate corrected times for each boat.
2 Enter the Standard Time for each division = corrected time of the fastest boat for each division.
3 Enter Corrected Times for each boat in order from fastest to slowest for each division and each team. Note: Each division should have an equal number of boats for each team so if team
1 Number of Boats = boats in each team for each division
2 Average Time = average time for all boats in a particular team division
3 Division Performance Index (DPI) = Std Time for that division divided by the Ave Time for that 'team division'
4 Team Number of Boats = total number of boats in all divisions for each team
5 Team Performance Index (TPI) = (Number of Boats times DPI for that division) for all divisions then all div added together and divided by Total Number of Boats in that team
The team with the higher Team Performance Index wins
If more than one race is conducted an average Team Performance Index needs to be calculated. The team with the highest average is then the winner.
If you are still with me you are dong well. The result was that Div 1 did not have a BeYC team, whereas the re were two of each team for Divs 2 and 3. With both clubs having a 1st and 2nd for each!
So for these 4 boats in each team (2 in div 2 and 2 in div 3) Cairn Curran took the day with a Performance Index score of 74.86% and BeYC close behind on 72.05%. Very close.

- A has only 3 boats
- and team B has 5 only
