We hope you all had a great Xmas, holidays and regattas
for those who were competing. Now for what’s coming up!
Training Program
Our “Keep Sailing” program commenced last weekend Saturday 3 February. Attendance was down, partly due to the Blue Green Algae, partly just timing; end of holidays, beginning of school etc.
The following weekend is the Mornington, Victorian Junior Carnival and Schnapper Point Regatta 10-11 February. We have encouraged our Junior Sailors and trainees to participate in these events, Andrew Kean and Josh Hall will be there to support them.
Training will recommence on 17 February for three consecutive Saturdays.
Current Blue Green Algae Warning
The Blue Green Algae warning issued by Goulburn Murray Water is still in place, information is available from their website. Please make yourself aware of the possible consequences before deciding to swim or sail.
CCSC v BeYC Challenge
The annual central Victorian club challenge is at Cairn Curran, Saturday 10 February.
Private Function
The clubrooms are booked for a private function on the evening of Saturday 17 February.
The family are aware that this is a club racing day and they will not have exclusive access before approx. 6 pm, enabling our members time to pack up and relax a little.
However, they will be in the clubrooms during the afternoon preparing for the evening.
The Club is required to provide bar staff (in line with our liquor licence) and we are looking for volunteers. If you are able to help, please contact Helen.
Curry Night
The “Curry Night” scheduled 17 February has been rescheduled for Saturday 24 February.
Flying Fifteen State Titles
Taking place on the 24–25 March 2018. A roster will be available shortly. Positions requiring qualifications and skills are being allocated, however there will be opportunities for other members to volunteer to assist. Again, if you are able to help please do so. These events are important fund raisers for the club and are good opportunities to promote our sport and meet other sailors.
We look forward to seeing you out at the clubhouse soon!
