Preparing for the day
Please see our 'what to bring' information sheet to ensure that you are ready for a great experience.
A special event for 2018
This year the club's Discover Sailing Day will run in conjunction with the Classic Dinghy Class Invitation Weekend. Visitors will be able to check out a wide range of classic craft and talk to the boat owners about their passion projects and (in many instances) lifelong love of the sport!
This is a special opportunity and experience that you won't get elsewhere, we're excited to be able to share it with you.
10am–4pm Sunday 25 November 2018
CCSC participates in a Australian Sailing's 'Discover Sailing Day' program which is an excellent opportunity to come along and try it out
Go for a sail with an experienced member, check out our club facilities, and find out about the training program. There is something for the whole family, kids as young as five years old can sail when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Allow at least 1.5–2 hours to get out on the water
BBQ sausages available for lunch
Soft drinks and licensed bar (BYO alcohol is not permitted)
All boats and safety equipment is provided by the club. All you need to bring is clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet, some sun screen, and a hat. Shoes with non-marking soles are preferred.
A fantastic way to have a great day out with your partner, friends, work colleagues or family.
We are looking forward to showing you just how fun, safe, accessible, and affordable sailing is!
Every club that offers Discover Sailing Days has a Discover Sailing Host, who welcomes you to the club, answers any questions, and explains the activities taking place during the Discover Sailing Day.
